when they ban books in schools, we un-ban them in the community

Across the United States, books are being banned from schools at an unprecedented rate. These bans are unfairly targeting authors and stories from diverse backgrounds, races, sexual orientations & gender identities. We’re not here for that.

The Unbanned Book Club is a movement made up of individuals determined to get banned and challenged books back into affected communities. We’re doing it during this summer break. And we’re doing it by mobilizing people like you and our partners.

“One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.”

Sometimes “disobeying” looks a lot like reading a book.
